Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital - Paris
The Saint Louis' Chapel was built in 1680, on an idea of Vauban (French Marshal and Louis XIV's engineer). It is an octagonal church, but still in a Greek cross shape, located in the front of the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital. The 8 chapels permitted the isolation of the different categories of sick persons, the female prisoners, the vagabonds and the convicts.
The Saint-Louis' chapel is open to the public.
