Paris
The place called the White Queen Castle is in fact an old dyeing shop which was built in the 16th century and which remained abandoned for years, before being classified as a historical French monument. It was restored recently, and now houses magnificent private apartments.
For years, and in particular in the 19th century, the stories told that the building which looks like an antique castle with its needle tower, had belonged to a White Queen (White of Castille, White of Navarre, or even White of Burgundy). But it is known now that no White Queen ever lived there.
